Skill Issues

Software engineering is hard and just saying "AI will solve it" dramatically underestimates the complexity of the problem and insults the hard work of the people who have been working on it for decades. There's a big gap between using ChatGPT or Claude to quickly build a landing page, fix a bug, or write a blog post, and using AI to build a full-fledged application or service. It is the challenge of creating something from nothing and forcing electrons into shapes that build the world is a painful process that is incredibly rewarding to people like us.

Software automation is not a new concept. It has been around for decades, and it has been used in various industries to automate repetitive tasks, like testing and deployment pipelines. Language Models today excel at Reading Comprehension, Text Generation, and Translation. In fact they are so good, we thing they are capable of everything. In fact they struggle a lot of mathematics, they have a hard time with reasoning, they are over confident, and approach problems in a very different way than humans.
